NASHVILLE, AR — Nashville High baseball standout Tyler Brown has been awarded the 2024 Ralph Gross Memorial Scholarship.
Brown will attend National Park College in the fall. A shortstop, who can play multiple positions in the infield helped lead the Scrappers to a conference championship.
Tyler had a 3.67 grade point average and plans to major in Electrical Engineering.
“Our family is happy to present this scholarship to a fine young man and student-athlete,” said Jeff Gross, son of the late Ralph Gross.
Brown is the 22nd recipient of the award that was established in 2003 after the late Ralph Gross, who was a five-sport standout athlete and graduate of Nashville High in 1952. Gross went on to attend Henderson State Teachers College to play basketball and baseball.
