After leading the Joe T. Robinson Senators for the past two decades, Todd Eskola announced Monday on social media that he is stepping down. Eskola has been a part of the program in one way for another for almost 50 years, serving in multiple facets under his father, Jim, before taking the reins in 2005.
“Thank you Robinson football, it has been an absolute pleasure for my family to be a part of the journey for the last 48 years,” Eskola mentioned in a long Facebook message. Eskola added that he will remain as the school’s athletic director, head women’s soccer coach, plus continue teaching AP calculus and lead the DRIVEN School of Innovation.
Eskola led the Senators to a 161-78-2 record that included state championships in 2019 and 2021. He was also a ball boy for the Robinson squad that won a state championship in 1980 under Jim Eskola’s tutelage.
In Eskola’s final season that recently concluded, the Senators finished 10-3 as a 5A state quarterfinalist.
