Three-star defensive tackle Solomon Wright flipped from Texas Tech and committed to the Razorbacks. The 6-0, 270-pound defensive tackle made his announcement on Friday, becoming the Razorbacks’ 14th commitment for the class of 2021.
Wright is the Hogs’ first defensive line commitment in this year’s class and the Razorbacks’ fourth commitment from the state of Oklahoma. Wright will be joining Javion Hunt of Cal Albert, AJ Green of Tulsa Union, and Keuan Parker of Tulsa Booker T. Washington.
247Sports Composite has Wright as the No. 13 player out of Oklahoma and No. 41 ranked DT, while the site itself has him as the 8th-ranked player in the state and the No. 22 ranked DT.

Wright committed to Texas Tech on May 1. He held offers from Iowa State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Memphis, Kansas, Massachusetts, Ohio, and others. Defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc and tight ends coach Jon Cooper recruited Wright to The Hill. The 2021 class now has six defensive commitments.
Throughout high school, Wright put up impressive stats. In 2019 he had 124 tackles, 51 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery. In 2018 he collected 91 tackles, 31 for loss, 11 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery. His consistency throughout high school bodes well for the Hogs as he is the first defensive tackle commit in the 2021 class.
