TeamFunded Baseball Player of the Week (4/8/25): Fayetteville senior Mark Brissey

Fayetteville senior pitcher Mark Brissey was named the TeamFunded Player of the Week after an exceptional performance in the Purple Dogs’ 9-0 win over 6A-West foe Fort Smith Northside.

Brissey, an Arkansas Razorback signee, allowed two hits and issued as many walks but struck out 18 of the 24 Grizzlies he faced in the contest. He has helped the Purple Dogs to a 13-2 record coming into the week and the team is currently ranked No. 2 for Class 6A in the latest Fearless Friday Super 7 baseball rankings.

Along with thriving on the diamond, Brissey also played golf for Purple Dogs and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He maintains a 3.8 GPA in the classroom.
