Murfreesboro slugger Brody Maroon has been in rare form lately and it earned him TeamFunded Player of the Week for the second time in two weeks.
In three victories over Foreman, Horatio and Baptist Prep, the senior 1B/P batted .667 (8-of-12) with six runs scored, a double, 11 runs batted in and five home runs that included leaving the yard three times with seven RBI in an 11-1 triumph over Foreman. The Rattlers currently sit at 19-7, 12-1 in conference play, as of Tuesday and will take on Spring Hill Friday to decide the 2A-7’s No. 1 seed in next week’s 2A-4 Regional Tournament at Woodlawn.
Off of the field, Maroon maintains a 3.7 GPA and is a member of the Beta Club as well as FBLA and FCA. He is signed to play baseball at Arkansas – Rich Mountain.
