Parkview’s Cameron Settles commits to Arkansas Razorbacks

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Razorbacks missed on two heralded 2025 Parkview Magnet football prospects a month ago, but nabbed a diamond in the rough from the back-to-back Class 5A state champion on Saturday evening.

Three-star running back Cameron Settles (6-0, 200) announced his commitment to the home state team, picking the Hogs over Arkansas State, Memphis, Missouri, Tulsa and Yale.

“It was just so much love shown and I just want to be a part of building that team up,” Settles told The Natural State Sports Network. “I just want to be a Hog.”

Settles is now the fourth Power Four commit on his team, joining Monterrio Elston and Omarion Robinsonwho committed to Kansas State and Oklahoma, respectively, on July 6 – plus fellow Arkansas commit Quentin Murphy. Settles, the 21st commitment for Arkansas’ 2025 class, is rated as high as the ninth player overall in The Natural State, 70th running back, while On3 Recruiting tabs him as the No. 13 prospect in Arkansas and 91st-best back.

As a junior, Settles helped Parkview complete a perfect 14-0 season to win the program’s second consecutive state championship while outscoring opponents 654-140. The Patriots ride a state-leading 25-game win streak heading into the 2024 season. Settles, an all-state selection, owns 4.5 speed and rushed 98 times for 979 yards and 20 touchdowns while splitting carries. Settles also excels on the other side in the secondary where defensive coordinator Bobby Bolding, one of the best to ever coach football in Arkansas, has referred to him as “old school” and “hard-nosed.”  Additionally, Settles has impressed in the weight room, reporting a 315-pound power clean and a 505-pound squat.

Parkview kicks off its season at Melissa (Texas) on Saturday, Aug. 31 as part of a two-day event that benefits pediatric cancer patients and their families.
