Parkview (AR) survives Melissa (TX) thanks to defensive stand

MELISSA, TX – A defensive stand with 90 seconds remaining all but guaranteed that back-to-back defending Class 5A Arkansas state champion Parkview would return home with a season-opening 27-20 win over Melissa (TX).

The matchup was the second of two games held at state-of-the-art Coach Kenny Deel Stadium over the weekend in the Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer Football Classic.
