The only change in this week’s poll is Fayetteville and Conway switch places with the Lady Bulldogs moving from No. 4 to No. 3 after winning the Lori Endicott Invitational in Willard, Mo.

Fayetteville won four matches against four Missouri-baed teams with a combined 40-23-3 record.

1. CABOT (20-1)

Lady Cats 5-1 through first half of 6A-Central Conference play.

We have been working on serving tough to the seams which created a lot of free ball opportunities to improve our offense. Our defense did a great job of running through balls and keeping us in system. Bentonville West had Bentonville down 2-1. Claire Schofield had 20 kills in the match Laney Chilton had 22 digs and Olivia Hamm had 23 assists.

6. FORT SMITH SOUTHSIDE (14-4-1)

Izzi Anderson had 40 digs in both matches.

The No. 1 spot changed hands as Valley View moves from No. 3 to No. 1 after winning the Hot Springs Lakeside MTXE Tournament, capping it off with a 2-0 victory over Hackett (25-22, 25-23), Class 2A’s No. 1-ranked team.

Hackett is sold and tough. They’re a smart, well coached team and I think they’ll make a deep run. It was fun playing against them fighting back to the finish on the last few points,” said Valley View head coach Margie McGee.

Mount St. Mary, which had been ranked No. 1 since Sept. 8 when it defeated Valley View to win Spikefest, had a tough week with a loss at Cabot along with losses to Lake Hamilton, Jonesboro Westside and Greene County Tech in the silver bracket at the Lakeside tournament.

“Resiliency the level of competition all day on both sides of the net has been great. You want to see some teams from different sides of the state. To have a day of great volleyball and be tested in the championship match is what you want. I told our girls to worry about our side of the court and what we did and that’s what we did. I got on to them at Searcy and told them about not playing clean volleyball. I feel like some kind of switch has flipped. Since then, they have played for each other. Claire Brinkley 35 assists and 4 digs and Taylor Chamness 29 assists and 9 digs. Kaitlyn Austin had 23 kills and 30 digs. Abbigaiile Simmons had 35 digs. Kennedy Bullins had 26 kills and 10 blocks and Kendall Brown had 38 kills, 5 blocks and 20 digs.

3. VAN BUREN (10-5-1)

After a rough start in the which the Lady Panthers lost their first seven matches with three coming to 6A teams — Little Rock Central, Cabot and Bentonville — Greenbrier has rebounded to win eight of its last 10 and is 7-2 in the 5A-Central. Tristyn Mosley had 27 kills and 27 digs in the victory over Little Rock Christian. Marlie Crossman had 8 kills and 16 digs and Kyleigh Briant had 18 digs and 3 aces in the victory.

10. LITTLE ROCK CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (10-5)
