Following a breakout four-game slate that included two grand slams, Murfreesboro’s Brody Maroon has been selected the TeamFunded Player of the Week.
In matchups against Spring Hill, Mountain Pine, Malvern and Caddo Hills Maroon finished 9-of-14 with 15 RBI, six doubles and six runs scored to go with the aforementioned grand salamis. In the win over Mountain Pine, Maroon struck out 13 batters while allowing only one hit in a complete game effort. The Rattlers came into this week at 12-6, including 8-1 in conference play.
Off of the field, Maroon maintains a 3.7 GPA and is a member of the Beta Club as well as FBLA and FCA. He is signed to play baseball at Arkansas – Rich Mountain.
