University of Arkansas 2025 baseball signee and Fayetteville Purple Dog Landon Schaefer has been named the TeamFunded Baseball Player of the Week.
Schaefer pitched a no-hit shutout in Fayetteville’s season-opening 10-0 win over Springdale. In six innings pitched, Schaefer struck out 10 batters while walking only two. He also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a two-run triple.
Over two games last week, Schaefer finished 4-of-7 batting with two triples, a home run and six RBI.
Off of the field, Schafer maintains a 3.8 GPA.
